Undertake all duties in a caring and supportive manner and provide an exceptional standard of care to patients at all times.Working Conditions: This position is in a fast-paced and multi-tasking medical office environment.Experience:Ability to work accurately and efficientlyComputer and data entry skillsExcellent telephone skills and patient care etiquetteKnowledge of patient billing proceduresAbility to work well under pressureDependable and promptAbility to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with people of all backgroundsAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsDuties and Responsibilities:Greet and welcome patients, record appointments and patient arrival, inform patients of delaysAnswer telephone calls promptly and courteously; pass on messages to the appropriate person(s)Responsible for incoming and outgoing mailAssure the readiness of the lobby area for working each day; open the building at the designated time and have all front office activities fully operational at the start of businessRegister patients according to protocolsProcess copays and/or payments from uninsured patientsDetermine patients' financial status and their insurance eligibilityAssist patients in completing the necessary forms accuratelySchedule patient appointments per office protocolsMaintain forms and office supplies required for front office operationsRespect and maintain privacy and dignity of patients; always assure patient confidentialityParticipate in staff and educational meetingsMaintain a filing system for all patient documentsDirect medical questions to medical staffPerform routine clinic duties each shifta. Tidy lobby area and kid's roomb. Empty surrounding shredding documents16.
