Position Overview: Provider Educator
Reporting to the Manager of Provider Education, the Provider Educator role involves providing comprehensive analysis, reporting, training, and support for medical providers and care teams. This role aims to enhance accurate clinical documentation and identify opportunities for risk adjustment across various medical offices.
Responsibilities:
Conduct education sessions for internal and external providers on condition identification, documentation, and coding.
Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and provide training to assigned providers.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with providers, office managers, and internal teams.
Stay updated on relevant healthcare plan guidelines, regulations, and documentation changes.
Perform chart audits to identify areas for improved documentation and potential chronic conditions.
Collaborate with providers to accurately identify and document active diagnoses using proper coding.
Provide training for new Primary Care Providers and Nurse Practitioners.
Analyze coding performance indicators to identify training needs and develop improvement plans.
Develop Quality Improvement Plans based on chart review outcomes.
Assist in creating or revising educational materials and policies.
Attend and contribute to team meetings and training forums.
Travel as necessary to support Quality Operations initiatives.
Undertake additional administrative and clinical support tasks as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
MD or RN License (Full or Limited License).
CPC or CRC certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
2 years of experience in Risk Adjustment / Documentation (preferred).
Proficiency in Google Suite or equivalent software.
Strong communication skills in conveying clinical information.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
