Actively seeking Fire Sprinkler Inspector - Fire Sprinkler Division to oversee the tasks of this Division while reporting to Area Service Manager.As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems to ensure they are in compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards. The primary goal of the inspector is to identify any issues or malfunctions that could compromise the effectiveness of the fire sprinkler system, and to recommend or perform corrective actions as necessary. This role is essential in safeguarding lives and property by ensuring that fire sprinkler systems are functioning optimally.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Understand our Industry strategy, business, and growth initiativesConduct thorough inspections of fire sprinkler systems in various facilities, including commercial buildings, residential complexes, warehouses, and industrial sites.Complete inspections in timely manner as scheduled and interface with Service Manager to ensure that the customer receives the work per proposed scope.Inspect all components of the fire sprinkler system, including pipes, fittings, sprinkler heads, control valves, and alarms, to check for proper functioning and condition.Perform routine testing and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems to ensure they are operating as intended.Conduct flow tests, valve tests, alarm tests, and other functional tests to verify system performance.Clean and flush sprinkler heads and pipes to remove any debris or blockages that could impede waterFamiliarize oneself with local, state, and national fire codes and regulations related to fire sprinkler systems.Ensure that all inspections and maintenance activities adhere to the prescribed codes and standards.Prepare detailed inspection reports for each site visit, documenting the condition of the fire sprinkler system, any deficiencies found, and recommended corrective actions.Maintain accurate records of inspection findings, testing results, and maintenance performed.Identify and diagnose issues or malfunctions in the fire sprinkler system and propose appropriate corrective actions.Perform minor repairs or adjustments to the system or collaborate with technicians or contractors for more complex repairs.Interact with property owners, facility managers, and other stakeholders to explain inspection findings, recommend maintenance or repairs, and answer any questions related to the fire sprinkler system.Stay informed about advancements in fire sprinkler technology, new regulations, and best practices related to fire safety.Participate in training programs and workshops to maintain and enhance knowledge and skills.Required Skills and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent is requiredPossesses both the FDNY S12 and S13 Certificates of Fitness, Nassau County COF preferred as wellPrevious experience in fire sprinkler system inspection, fire safety, or a related field is advantageous.Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system components, operation, and maintenance.Knowledge of local and national fire codes and regulations.Study and learn NFPA standards for the inspection and testing of fire protection systems. Stay current with code requirements, industry changes, and obtain NICET certificationsPhysical ability to climb ladders, access confined spaces, and lift heavy equipment if required.Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to different sites.Think you have what it takes to be a team member?
