Financial Process Coordinator

The Finance Department, Accounting Division is seeking a highly motivated individual with multitasking abilities to join our team. The successful candidate will support the department in providing quality financial and administrative support services to Fauquier County Public Schools. Applicants with local government accounting experience and excellent customer service skills are encouraged to apply.
Key duties include but not limited to:
- Oversee all financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Provide new hire training to new bookkeepers and office associates; ensure continuity of processes in the event of separation
- Oversee the financial reporting process within the school division, including the preparation of financial statements and reports
-Interprets, applies, and ensures compliance with all applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures
initiates any actions necessary to correct deviations or violations;
- Performs account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Develops and maintains internal controls to safeguard internal financial processes
-Provides assistance to school bookkeepers and office associates to promote the most efficient and effective accomplishment of operating
processes
- Acts as the first point of contact for school personnel having questions regarding finances and payroll;
Performs related tasks as required.

SALARY RANGE: $60,808.54-$109,455.58
