Responsibilities
• Manage all accounting activities• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements• Lead preparation and review of audited financial statements• Lead the preparation of organizational budgets and financial plans• Ensure compliance with government regulations• Oversee risk management and organizational insurance coverage• Provide support to the Leadership team in managing/reporting to the Board of Directors and committees• Develop reports for enhanced monitoring of programs and cash flow projections• Identify and implement solutions to improve financial functions• Handle miscellaneous tasks as they arise
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field• 6+ years of accounting experience, including 3 years in nonprofit work• 3 years of managerial-level or 1 year of director-level experience in leading finance functions• CPA/CMA/CNAP certifications preferred• Experience in managing nonprofit financial compliance across multiple countries• Knowledge of nonprofit accounting practices, GAAP, and bookkeeping functions• Expertise in collaborative budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting• Proficient in digital tools, including Salesforce and Google Suite• Strong problem-solving skills and lateral thinking• Openness to working flexible hours and adapting to a dynamic work environment
