Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Technician to join our team. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for working on industrial equipment in the field, specifically ultrapure water (UPW) systems. This is a hands-on role that requires physical strength, the ability to lift heavy objects, and the willingness to wear protective personal equipment. Job Specifications:
Job Type: Full-time, Onsite
Location: 4500 S Dobson Rd Chandler AZ 85248 - Ocotillo campus
Pay Rate: $21-22/hr depending on experience
Shift: Night shift (12-hour shift) 5:45 pm to 6:15 am Wednesday - Friday e/o Saturday (training on day shift for approximately 3 months)
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Field Technician, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Role modeling safety practices and adhering to safety protocols
Starting up UPW equipment under the guidance of the system engineer
Collecting UPW samples and conducting routine analysis using test equipment
Operating UPW equipment and systems through computer interfaces
Performing maintenance activities on UPW equipment and test equipment
Loading/unloading UPW resin, RO membranes, filters, and other materials
Safely handling and transferring liquid chemicals from tank trucks to bulk storage tanks
Utilizing forklifts, mobile elevated platforms, and pallet jacks to move equipment and materials
Developing pre-task plans and ensuring their implementation
Collaborating as a team member with exceptional customer service skills
Qualifications & Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Minimum 2-3 years of specific UPW operations experience
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Word/Excel and general computer use
Hazardous material/chemical handling training, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Control of Hazardous Energies (CoHE) training
CPR/first aid training
Fall protection and ladder safety training
Scissor lift/Mobile Elevated Work Platform training
Forklift and pallet jack training
High school diploma or GED required; AS degree preferred (military experience can be considered as a substitute or additional experience)
