We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Field Support Specialist. In this role you will be expected to assist the field engineers during demonstration, testing, and training events for the GBAD Engineering and Logistics project. This position will be responsible to secure, setup, maintain, provide security, and tear down test and training sites. Support test and engineering events with Test Incident Reports (TIRs) and participate in TIR Review Boards (TRBs) as required. Responsibilities
Perform security and access control of test and training sites to ensure only authorized personnel gain access and that all visitors are recorded in the visitors logbook
Conduct site surveys of proposed test and training locations to determine site and security service requirements
Conduct inventory control of equipment by serial number to ensure all incoming and outgoing system, training and test equipment is recorded in the equipment logbook
Coordinate with the systems administrator to ensure LAN with Internet access and printing capability for events is installed
Arrange for material handling equipment for off-loading, loading, and movement of test and training equipment
Set up and operate test equipment power generation and distribution, and environmental control equipment
Write Test Incident Reports (TIRs) in support of test and engineering events
Ability to stand for long periods of time, at times be required to perform duties in austere conditions, and lift equipment of up to 50 lbs. or more Qualifications
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team Willingness to learn and develop new skills in equipment maintenance and repair
Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols and regulations
Technical certification or vocational training in equipment maintenance or a related field desired
Prior experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or a similar role is desirable, but not required
Must have a valid driver's license and ability to obtain a license for tactical vehicles (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, ULTV, UTV)
Must be fluent with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and Outlook Experience
5+ years' experience in a related field or 4 years' military service generally in related field Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
DAU ACQ 101 Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management (*required* within 6 months of hire)
DAU LOG 100 Life Cycle Logistics Fundamentals (*required* within 6 months of hire) Clearance
Secret - Required to Start Travel
