Kennedy Valve Co. is a gray and ductile iron foundry and computerized machining and assembly operation. We supply fire hydrants and valves to the water works and fire suppression industries. We have been manufacturing these products in Elmira, New York, for over 125 years. SUMMARY The Environmental Intern will have the opportunity to work in the Environmental Department (ENV Dept) that leads and monitors air emissions, water discharges and waste characterization and disposal. The department is also involved with continual improvement of the facility Environmental Management System (EMS).
JOB DUTIES Help with auditing compliance status of the facility with regulatory and best management practices.
Assist with upholding EMS best management practices.
Assist with all ENV Dept projects and tasks.
Uphold the excellent reputation of Kennedy Valve.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS Associate's Applied Science Degree
Experience with basic office skills
Strong working knowledge MS Office Suite programs
