Job Description Manages Marine Deck testing on all contracts. Responsible for test procedure development that involves the design, revision, and implementation of testing methods and equipment in accordance with specific ship class specifications and design, drawings, mil-standards, rules and regulations, technical manuals and all other contract and governing documents. Performs verification and validation of test results and other test related tasks as necessary to support craft and test personnel. Also responsible for presenting assigned system test reports to the customer for final acceptance before and during trial demonstrations. Provides dockside support to operations installation and subject matter expert for test personnel to resolve system or equipment design issues with vendors and customers. The duties described herein cover major duties required under normal conditions, and other duties directed by supervision.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and four (2) years of experience in propulsion or auxiliary ship systems operations or a Masters and 0 years experience. A combination of education and experience may be used in lieu of degree. Equivalent shipboard Boatswain Mate/Navy/Maritime may be used in lieu of degree.
Preferred Qualifications Prior shipboard experience in planning, statusing, grooming and execution of testing to assure compliance with the most concurrent test procedures and functional requirements. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software products.
