Responsibilities
• Analyze electrical distribution system and develop maintenance and construction plan• Assist with analyzing load flow, short circuits, and relaying schemes• Develop long- and short-range planning, design, and inspection processes• Design distribution facilities and ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements• Prepare bid contracts and assist with project cost management• Troubleshoot electrical issues and assist with restoring service• Determine system upgrades for future expansion• Assist with developing engineering department business plan
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering• Proficiency in electronic spreadsheets, word processing programs, and database management tools• Proficiency in trigonometry, calculus, algebra, and analytic geometry• Knowledge about Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories products or similar equipment preferred• Valid New Mexico driver's license• Willingness to comply with company policy regarding drug tests• Knowledge about NERC and FERC preferred• Experience with SPP would be a bonus• Excellent problem-solving skills• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively• Team player with exceptional communication skills• Proactive thinking and ability to address potential issues
