Ehs Generalist

Overview We are currently seeking a talented EHS Generalist to join our team at our facility located in Lapeer, MI. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience in a manufacturing environment, and an Associate's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Biology, Chemistry, or related/technical discipline. ***This is a Salary Position*** Responsibilities Demonstrate leadership necessary to support the Health and Safety Department. Providing technical support to site workers regarding HSE regulations and KAMAX standards. Leading hazard assessment activities that include safety inspections, investigations, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA). Maintain and update site safety processes that affect hearing protection and PPE, the Emergency Response Plan, the ERT – Emergency Response Team, lock out/tag out, and regulatory training. Provide support to the ERT and Safety Committee. Train site personnel in health, safety, environmental, and security requirements during onboarding and continuous training initiatives. Assist with corrective actions from internal/external audits, inspections, and visits. Participate in site emergency planning, drills, and incident response. Support accident investigations and corrective actions. Help to coordinate and schedule training for departments. Complete hearing testing for employees. Input data as needed for required environmental and safety reports.
