The Distribution Center Manageroversees the day-to-day operations of the distribution center and its employees. This position will be responsible for receiving, loading, unloading, transferring, picking, splitting, and distributing merchandise in our newly added distribution center in Prescott Valley, AZ.
Requirements: Manage distribution center associates, monitoring work and ensuring all proper safety procedures are enforced and followedManages effective inventory management and stock rotation processesConfers with distribution center personnel and plans and allocates use of materials handling equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, company vehicles, etc.Inspects machines and equipment and directs workers engaged in maintenance and repair work.Maintains a clean and neat work area both inside the distribution center and surrounding areaMonitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to increase productivity and performanceKeep up to date on the latest federal and state safety regulationsReceive incoming shipments and verify against purchase orderPrepare shipping labelsProvide input to management on any process improvementsSet goals and objectives for direct reportsMonitor and report on time delivery dataOther duties may be assignedQualifications: Bachelor's degree in business management, logistics or related field preferred, but not required3+ years of management experience in a distribution or warehouse environmentStrong knowledge and understanding of distribution center practices and proceduresStrong ability to lead and coach a team of diverse individualsStrong organizational and communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite Benefits of working as a Distribution Center Manager in Payson, UT:
