Position Overview: The Director of Construction is a critical role in the organization that is responsible for planning, executing, and completing construction projects. The successful candidate will possess a depth of knowledge in construction contracts, management, project bids, OSHA regulations, estimating, scoping, and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities: Plan, design, and manage the construction projects from start to finish, ensuring all safety guidelines are followed. Develop and manage budgets, timeline, and project scope, as well as review and approve invoices and cost estimates. Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other vendors. Prepare and submit timely reports to management. Ensure that all construction projects adhere to OSHA standards and codes. Monitor progress of the project and make necessary adjustments as required. Manage and mentor construction staff to ensure efficient and cost-effective projects. Provide technical assistance in the form of advice, guidance, and support to other team members. Qualifications: A bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field. Extensive experience in managing construction projects in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of construction contracts and applicable laws, regulations, and safety codes. Excellent project management, problem solving, and communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
