Job Summary:
As a Diagnostic Scheduler, you will play a vital role in our Patient Access SVH department by providing clerical support, scheduling appointments, and ensuring accurate data entry. Your responsibilities will include coordinating appointments, communicating with patients and insurance authorization teams, and maintaining effective office operations. Essential Functions:
Schedule appointments accurately and in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Coordinate appointments with insurance authorization team and service areas.
Perform front office clerical functions as needed.
Answer and direct phone calls professionally and efficiently.
Utilize Microsoft Office and department-specific software effectively.
Contribute to Quality Improvement and Lean Process Improvement activities.
Attend and participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required.
Previous data entry experience preferred.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position is remote eligible, allowing you to work independently from a home environment. The role may involve long periods of sitting and repetitive tasks such as typing and interacting with computers. Specific vision abilities are required.
