The Design & Construction Specialist should be able to perfore the following job functions:
Required to assist the Director of Design and Construction in working to create, review and approve all design and construction document requirements Work as a liaison between the Franchisee, Architect, Engineers and Contractors to facilitate their design and construction process Must be able to communicate design concepts Ability to take responsibility, meet project deadlines, to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and dynamic approach to individual projects Ability to follow design standards and assist with general floor plan layouts as well as review and edit floor plans Advanced understanding of construction documents with the ability to make sure all specifications and regulations are being followed Review and edit construction documents to reflect Orangetheory Fitness design standards Interact with franchise owners, design and construction professionals and material vendors Experience Required 1 - 3 years: Experience in buildout 2 - 3 years: Experience working with Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing 2 - 3 years: Experience reviewing and creating construction documents 2 year(s): Relevant construction-related experience Preferred 1 - 2 years: Experience in Interior Design Education Required Associates or better in Construction Engineering or related field Behaviors Preferred Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well Team Player: Works well as a member of a group Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity Motivations Preferred Goal Completion: Inspired to perform well by the completion of tasks Ability to Make an Impact: Inspired to perform well by the ability to contribute to the success of a project or the organization See job description
