About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled Deal Review Consultant to join our dynamic Worldwide Sales and Operations Organization and Global Renewals Management Function within the Customer Acquisition and Retention Excellence Organization.
As a pivotal support function within our sales and operations team, the Deal Review Consultant plays a crucial role in ensuring the sustained retention of our valued accounts, safeguarding annual recurring revenue (ARR), and fostering operational excellence across our customer retention and growth processes.
What You'll Do:
As a Deal Review Consultant, you'll collaborate closely with our Field Sales Organization and Sales Operations team to drive ARR retention at scale. Your responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with the sales team to devise strategies for navigating complex deals, with a keen focus on financial and revenue compliance.
- Offering sales leadership insightful financial modeling and evaluation of deal economics, commercial terms and conditions, and operational necessities.
- Keeping sales management informed with regular updates on deal statuses and important developments, facilitating transparent and timely information flow for strategic decision-making.
- Providing recommendations to sales leadership regarding deal approvals.
- Ensuring thorough review of deals to guarantee accurate structuring, resulting in precise booking and ARR metrics.
- Providing guidance on pricing strategies for new go-to-market offerings.
- Playing a pivotal role in scaling the Deal Review function, including proposing and executing long-term strategic initiatives for the team.
- Ensuring adherence to recognized revenue recognition principles, particularly for non-standard deals.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with various stakeholder groups, including legal, sales operations, order management, revenue, finance, and product management.
- Serving as a primary contact and subject matter expert for sales on licensing and pricing models.
- Driving adherence to internal processes and business rules.
- Creating and managing systematic CRM workflows for alerting non-standard orders.
- Participating in the testing and implementation of new CPQ applications, offering feedback and insights to enhance operational efficiency.
What You'll Need:
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- 6+ years of experience in enterprise sales and operations, finance, and/or deal desk in the high-tech industry.
- Familiarity with the Annual Recurring Revenue business model.
- A background in data analysis, modeling, and/or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and reporting, as well as knowledge of data management and analytics solutions.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Sales Infrastructure, such as Salesforce CRM/CPQ, with an ability to comprehend complex systems and dependencies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to quickly establish trust, credibility, and influence across diverse partners.
- A knack for effective cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, and IT teams.
