Responsibilities
• Drive truck to deliver goods to stores and other customers• Adhere to all safety standards• Inspect and report truck condition• Check refrigeration trailer for malfunctions• Weigh load• Unload merchandise at store• Pick up goods at vendor locations and verify products• Maintain flexibility to work any shift• Perform essential functions of the position• Perform basic mathematical calculations
Requirements
• Minimum 21 years of age• Ability to travel independently• Ability to carry out instructions• Ability to deal with problems in standardized situations• Commitment to providing customer service• Ability to read and interpret documents• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence• Ability to effectively present information• Valid Commercial Class A CDL driver's license• Must meet all Federal Department of Transportation physical requirements• Familiarity with trucking terms and processes• Ability to safely back 53' trailers into docks or vendor locations• Ability to operate special equipment, machinery, and/or tools• 1 year's active driving experience with doubles experience• Desired previous job experience: 1 year Tractor/Trailer driving experience
