Job Description: We are looking for a DataDog Administrator with expertise in managing and configuring DataDog tools on the Linux platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in instrumenting Java-based applications running on Tomcat Application Server and will be responsible for Network Monitoring, Infrastructure/Server Monitoring (Linux, Windows, AIX) using Data Dog, Application, SNMP, and Log Monitoring.
Key Responsibilities: Manage, configure, and maintain DataDog tools on the Linux platform.
Perform Network Monitoring, Infrastructure/Server Monitoring (Linux, Windows, AIX) using Data Dog, Application, SNMP, and Log Monitoring.
Configure Infrastructure Monitoring, Network Monitoring, and Centralized Logging.
Administer ELK Stack - Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana for log management and visualization.
Configure centralized logging from various sources like WebSphere/Tomcat and IHS WebServers on AIX servers to DataDog on Linux.
Handle different log formats and configure Load Balancers like F5 to route logs to the Log server.
Create and customize dashboards for data visualization in DataDog.
Manage and maintain DataDog APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tool on Linux.
Instrument Java applications with DataDog, set up health rules, and fine-tune monitoring.
Set up End User Monitoring/Browser Real User Monitoring using JavaScript injection.
Provide support for significant production issues related to DataDog and monitoring tools.
Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience in DataDog Administration on the Linux platform.
Experience with instrumenting Java-based applications on Tomcat Application Server.
Strong knowledge of Network Monitoring, Infrastructure/Server Monitoring (Linux, Windows, AIX), Application, SNMP, and Log Monitoring.
Hands-on experience with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
Familiarity with Load Balancers like F5 and log management techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot production issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
