Responsibilities
• Coordinate documentation required by US Customs/Government Agencies• Process commodities requiring specialized processing• Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release• Data entry and processing of import documentation• Maintain shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements• Adhere to international importing and exporting regulations• Work closely with internal staff, departments, customers, and government agencies• Process agency brokerage shipments and remote filings• Perform entry reconciliations and reviews as needed• Follow up on Customs matters and resolve problems
Requirements
• HS Diploma or GED• Minimum of 12 months industry experience preferred• Minimum of 6 months work experience required• Data entry/keyboard experience required• CCS and/or Brokers license preferred• Required skills: MS Office, Outlook, Office equipment• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills• Ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work• Ability to work independently and use multiple systems/reference material• Interact with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, and management• Knowledge of customs regulations and harmonized tariff schedules preferred
