COSMETOLOGY INSTRUCTOR Location: 2301 West Ashton Blvd., Lehi, UT 84043
Status: Part - Time / Non - Exempt
Hours: Two nights and one afternoon a week; Every other Saturday
Pay / Salary: $23.00 / Hour
BENEFITS: Full benefits are only available to full-time employees; however, because we encourage educational development for our staff and faculty, as a part-time employee averaging 15 hours a week over three months of employment with us, you could be eligible for our MTECH tuition waiver.
RESPONSIBILITIES With a better idea of what you'd get from employment with us, y ou probably want to know what you'd be doing, and what we expect. Your responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:
Teach engaging lessons, using hands-on, skill-based competency training to the greatest extent possible. Manages, and supervises students in the classroom and on the practical floor. Evaluate instruction/learning by means of written, oral practical and performance tests. Maintains student-oriented approach, and desirable classroom conditions. Check equipment daily for hazards, ensuring it is maintained and properly repaired. Maintains accurate and current reports and records regarding student accountability, attendance, and performance. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent is required Graduation from an accredited Cosmetology School or apprenticeship Valid Utah State Cosmetology Instructor's License Minimum of three years industry experience is required Prior teaching experience is preferred Last, but not least, we appreciate and support our current staff and are equally excited about our new hires.
