As a full-time Cook, you will be assisting the Food Services Director to help with the operation of the Food Services department.Are you hungry for work life balance? Are you tired of working until midnight (or later) in the kitchen? Interested in a position where the shifts are flexible and 7:00 pm is considered a "late night"?Responsibilities:Prepares or assist in preparation of complete meals - preparing and cooking soups, meats, gravies, vegetables, desserts, salads, baked goods, etc.Complies with all special dietary needs or restrictions of residentsEnsure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are servedMonitor all food items for compliance with guidelines for temperature, taste and quality, tastes food to determine qualityKeep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen; ensuring all equipment is cleaned, working properly, and turned off before closing.Assist in inventory.Requirements:Minimum 6 months experience as a prep cook (preferred)Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.High School diploma or G.E.D.Ability to speak, read & write English.Flexibility to work on a rotation of weekends & holidays.Must be willing to undergo a routine background check including drug screen.Shifts:8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Tuesday - SaturdayHoliday shifts on rotation.Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insurance Benefits of working as a Cook in Oklahoma City, OK:
