Responsibilities
• Cooks and prepare a variety of food according to guidelines and recipes• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses various cooking methods• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines• Stores food following food safety policies• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils• Maintains excellent customer service• Adheres to safety policies and procedures
Requirements
• Experience as a cook or in a related role required• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety• Must be able to acquire food safety certification• Basic math and counting skills• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills
