Job Description and Duties Under direction of the Labor Compliance Branch Chief, a Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst is responsible for development and implementation of contract compliance on Caltrans construction contracts. Work performed will include monitoring and enforcement of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE), Small Business (SB), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), American Disability Act (ADA), and subcontractor substitution and prompt payment practices.  Duties include performing audits and investigations, reviewing inquiries and providing accurate and timely guidance to internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent will also develop and write procedure and analyze and recommend solutions to potential violations on program related issues. Other responsibilities include assistance with prevailing wage inquiries and guidance related to the Public Works projects pursuant to Labor Code. ******** and Davis-Bacon and Related Acts.
Eligibility for hire is determined by your score on the Associate Governmental Program Analyst Exam. You must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions. Working Conditions Position is located in Sacramento. This is a Limited Term position which  may be extended to 24 months or become permanent. 
When in office the employee will work in a climate-controlled office under artificial lightning. Employee will be required to travel to conduct or attend training and perform audits and investigations. New toState candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification orminimum of alternate range when applicable. Special Requirements The SOQ is a narrative discussion regarding how the applicant's education, training, experience, and skills meet the criteria outlined below. In addition, the SOQ serves as documentation of each applicant's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing.
