Responsibilities
• Develops and supports a strong culture of compliance and ensures the organization has a clearly defined program for complying with federal and state laws.• Develops and oversees control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.• Uses sound decision-making and discretion in making decisions that mitigate corporate risk at each decision point.• Communicates written policies and procedures across the organization.• Ensures training is provided on IT Security and other training as necessary.• Prepares reports for executive leadership and board of directors as appropriate.• Responsible for maintaining incident logs and working with the Compliance Officer to investigate compliance incidents.• Files compliance reports with regulatory agencies.• Acts as a resource for leaders, providing advice and training.• Acts as liaison between the company and the IT security and compliance vendors.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Health Administration, or other related program.• 3 years of proven experience with compliance is preferred.• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software and web-based applications.
