Responsibilities
• Coordinate work with the City's Office of Communications' staff• Produce press releases, posters, flyers, mailers, and displays for assigned departments• Post information to the assigned departments' website and social media outlets• Attend and help manage City events• Take high-quality photographs and videos, and edit them for various uses• Provide graphic design services for departments• Create print and digital marketing ads• Maintain and update photo and video library files• Develop and maintain communication strategies• Communicate and collaborate with community partners and citizens
Requirements
• Knowledge of principles and practices of communications, marketing, and public relations• Knowledge of city code of ordinances and other regulations, policies, and procedures• Skill in media releases, social media posting, and graphic design• Skill in operating Adobe Creative Suite and Canva• Understanding of CYMK and RGB color profiles• Skill in using Internet, Social Media, and Microsoft Teams• Ability to establish priorities and organize work• Ability to analyze data and make decisions• Ability to deal with the public• Ability to communicate effectively
