Responsibilities:
Manage collection efforts for facility-level accounts, ensuring services rendered are compensated.
Communicate with facilities through inbound and outbound calls or emails, providing excellent customer service and clarifying billing details.
Identify at-risk accounts and escalate them appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
Maintain clear and concise documentation of collection efforts.
Collaborate with internal teams and external customers, including facility owners and CEOs, to resolve account discrepancies and achieve financial objectives.
Support pharmacy billing associates in managing billing information and resolving unpaid claims.
Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required by the management team.
Qualifications:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
At least one year of billing or collections experience.
Experience in third-party billing or collections in the healthcare industry preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other communication tools like WebEx and MS Teams.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Knowledge of medical billing and coding is a plus.
