Responsibilities
• Teaching classes on behalf of Deans and teacher-leaders• Providing substitute teaching coverage• Planning and delivering instruction• Supporting students through tutoring and intervention• Observing Master Teachers to improve instructional techniques• Coordinating an Enrichment class• Assisting with instruction, assessments, grading, and other responsibilities• Implementing curricula and activities to meet academic standards• Building positive relationships with students• Engaging in professional development and coaching• Supporting school culture and community• Partnering with grade level team to develop academic goals
Requirements
• Commitment to being an anti-racist organization• Supporting students' social emotional and academic development• Working with families in the best interest of students• Being a self-directed learner who implements feedback• 1-2 years experience impacting K-12 students• Academic expertise in relevant fields of study• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university• NY state certification eligibility or enrollment in a teacher preparation program
