Responsibilities
• Maintain patient safety and provide basic patient care• Constantly observe patients and notify nursing personnel of changes• Communicate effectively with co-workers, patients, and visitors• Adhere to policies and procedures• Support the plan of care delegated by staff nurse• Maintain a clean and safe environment• Provide care based on various criteria• Complete documentation of patient-related tasks• Adapt behavior to specific patient population• Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred• Hospital and telemetry experience preferred• Current Louisiana Certification as a Nurses' Assistant (CNA) required• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required within 30 days• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) required within 30 days• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications• Effective verbal and written communication skills• Excellent organizational and time management skills• Ability to work a flexible schedule
Key Skills Needed
