So, what will the C5ISC Project Manager at Terrestris do?
This role serves as an onsite senior-level project manager at C5ISC Portsmouth location. The C5ISC Project Manager (PM) will serve as a single point of contact for the customer. The PM will provide Business Management Support Services (BMSS) and direct support to C5ISC command priority initiatives such as the adoption of the DoD Enterprise Service Management Framework (DESMF). Acquisition Strategy Development and Implementation, Mission Support Business Model Implementation, Organizational Change Support, and any other Command Priorities that may arise. All completed work shall be in accordance with the relevant guidance such as the Coast Guard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence Service Center Strategic Plan. This role serves to support the successful accomplishment of C5ISC missions and requirements.
What does a typical day look like for the C5IS Project Manager??
You will be:
Applying industry best practices for project management, service management, business relationship management, and process management Performing project-level governance reviews, reporting, maintenance, and control of associated records Providing recommendations and supporting consolidation, monitoring, and management of project-level information and dissemination to facilitate contract management, resource proposals, budgeting, project selection and prioritization, project assessment, and organizational decision-making Providing recommendations and supporting implementation of authorized changes to Coast Guard and DHS configuration baselines, and assuring projects are properly funded, scoped, and aligned with mission requirements Providing recommendations and support to manage and coordinate authorized C5ISC lifecycle projects, including, relocation and expansion of shore facilities, facility/asset decommissioning, new capability generation, termination of depreciated capabilities, and modifications to existing baselines Coordinating and developing project-end, year-end, fiscal year, and multi-year plans and reports necessary to support Division compliance with organizational policy Collaborating in planning, coordination, and mitigation of project-related supply and logistic issues and risks Facilitating meetings and other sessions to coordinate project resources and determine project status Participating in project reviews and provide recommendations to Coast Guard Project Managers for project cost, schedule, and performance improvements Providing guidance and recommended solutions on risk and issue tracking and mitigation Recommending changes to improve Project Management process performance; Filing and maintaining project records and repositories Providing direct business support, facilitating and assisting in planning and execution of projects and all functions Assessing and reporting project status based upon established project milestones Assessing and reporting project cost, schedule, and performance data based upon comparison between approved project baselines and actual values Developing, implementing, routinely updating, and supporting preparation and retention of Project Management deliverables and artifacts and for metrics definition, analysis, and reporting Coordinating stakeholders on tasks and reviewing work products for completeness, quality, and alignment to C5ISC objectives and standards What qualifications do you look for? A bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Management, Information Technology, or Engineering A current Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in performing project management support services for IT Programs Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with senior personnel The ability to read and interpret government policy, regulations, and directives and to apply those interpretations fully and legally What kind of benefits does Terrestris Offer?
