With a strong track record of successful project completions and a commitment to excellence, we are seeking a Chief Estimator to join our dynamic team and drive our estimating department forward.Job Description: As the Chief Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the estimation process for our commercial drywall projects. Leveraging your expertise in commercial drywall construction and your keen understanding of project requirements, you will lead a team of estimators to accurately assess project scopes, develop cost estimates, and provide comprehensive proposals that meet client expectations. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial drywall, with a proven track record of estimating large-scale projects.Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of estimators to ensure accurate and timely completion of project estimates.Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to understand project requirements and develop detailed scopes of work.Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to identify project needs and potential risks.Conduct on-site visits and assessments to gather relevant project data and assess site conditions.Analyze material and labor costs, subcontractor quotes, and other factors to develop accurate project cost estimates.Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process and improve accuracy.Prepare and present comprehensive proposals to clients, outlining project costs, timelines, and deliverables.Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely acquisition of materials and subcontractor services at competitive prices.Stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new technologies to enhance the company's competitive edge.Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic initiatives and improve departmental processes to drive efficiency and profitability.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial drywall construction, with at least 1 year in an estimating role.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes related to commercial drywall projects.Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software and tools (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Procore).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team of estimators.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound decisions under tight deadlines.Commitment to upholding company values of integrity, professionalism, and excellence in all endeavors.Join our team and be part of a dynamic organization dedicated to delivering exceptional results in commercial drywall construction.
