Introduction
The State of Connecticut , Department of Children and Families (DCF) is recruiting a Chief of Continuous Quality Improvement (Executive Assistant 2) located in Hartford, CT. Position Highlights
Full-time, 40 hours per week First (1st) shift Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Hartford, CT The Role
The Chief of Continuous Quality Improvement (Executive Assistant 2) shall report directly to the Deputy Commissioner. This leader will foster a culture of quality within DCF and will ensure that continuous quality improvement efforts are aligned with DCF's strategic goals.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Collaborate with the Executive Team to define quality improvement targets and establish key performance indicators. Conduct regular assessments of existing processes, systems and practices to identify areas of improvement. Lead the development, implementation and oversight of the Federal Child and Family Services Plan (CFSP). This is the agency's strategic plan required by the Federal government in order to maintain Connecticut's ability to receive $100,000 million dollars a year in revenue. Lead the implementation of CT-Kind. This is the DCF Client Case Management System which is also federally required in order to generate the $100,000 million dollars in revenue as indicated above. Serve as a lead on federal reviews including: Administrative Case Reviews, Child and Family Services Review (CFSR), Quality Improvement and assurance initiatives. This work is imperative in meeting the Department's obligations to provide regularly requested reports on DCF case practice to comply with state and federal regulations. This position is also necessary to provide data and reports as deemed necessary and appropriate by oversight bodies such as the Child Advocate. ABOUT US:

This position will be appointed in accordance with sections 5-198 (10) of the Connecticut General Statutes, as qualified by Public Act 13-247 which states "Executive Assistants to each state elective officer and each department head, as defined in section 4-5, provided (A) each position of executive assistant shall have been created in accordance with section 5-214, and (B) in no event shall the Commissioner of Administrative Services or the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management approve more than four executive assistants for a department head."
