Responsibilities Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Opportunity  Clive Behavioral Health (CBH) is a modern, state-of-the-art, 100-bed licensed inpatient behavioral health hospital.  Operating on two campuses in Iowa, Clive Behavioral Health West opened in February 2021 with 100 inpatient beds for adult, child & adolescent patients experiencing a severe behavioral health crisis.  Care at our new hospital focuses on crisis management, stabilization, and development of a plan to return to community living.  Future expansion: Clive Behavioral Health Des Moines will be a 34-bed inpatient unit located on the MercyOne Des Moines campus.  Care at this location is for adults experiencing a severe behavioral health crisis.
Our nursing teams feature a top-of-license approach utilizing a reliable cohort of RNs, LPNs & Unit Coordinators all dedicated to patient safety and quality care.

The Chief Nursing Officer is a key member of the Clive Leadership Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a hands-on approach and keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements.  The CNO participates in the hospital's strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives.  The CNO will focus on 5 key areas: People, Service, Quality, Growth, and Finance

Qualifications Job Requirements: Licensure: Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of IA. Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program; Master of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred. Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management. Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities. Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices.  Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
