Waldorf Astoria is looking for a Chef de Partie to join the Culinary Team at this gorgeous Atlanta property!
Located in one of Atlanta's most prestigious neighborhoods, this Forbes 4-Star hotel is a 42-story tower with over 200 rooms (127 guest rooms plus residences ), over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and 3 food and beverage outlets. This includes the 3-meal restaurant, bar, and in-room dining. Classification: Full-Time Shift: Various - must have availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Good knowledge of Gastronomy Ability to handle service and stay organized Ability to work a busy station, cooking in bulk with high quality Great love of cooking Ability to follow recipes Quick learner who wants to experience all the stations and cuisines. Minimum of 2 years in the culinary department as Cook 1 of a hotel or restaurant and/or a culinary degree Ability to work within the guidelines of the company's safety program and transfer the knowledge to Team Members Quality driven with a passion for excellence Approachable, open-minded and fair High energy Team Player Knowledge of various cuisines is a plus Experience in a luxury environment is a plus

What will I be doing? As Chef de Partie, you will take a supervisory role while assisting in the leadership of the culinary team alongside the other culinary management. This colleague will need to be able to run a station and still assist in leading the team. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Support Company's philosophy and company culture Responsible for all aspects of quality control, supervision and production for their area Act as a team player helping wherever needed. Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils. Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas. Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared. Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles. Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity. Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking. Clean, stock, and restock workstations Find ways to improve efficiency in the operation Strive for perfection, 100% guest satisfaction Assist Banquet with coverage when need Assist with outlet food ordering Other duties as assigned #LI-TB1
