Title: Charge Registered Nurse / RN Emergency Room / ER Responsibilities: Ensuring the efficiency of the patient check-in process. Coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Must meet all criteria associated with responsibilities detailed in this document and the core and unit-specific competencies for RNs; REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of NJ or valid compact state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
