Turner Industries Group is looking for experienced Cement Finishers for a maintenance position near the for a maintenance position in Salt Lake City, UT. area.
40 Hours, Overtime as needed Must be able to pass background check and drug screen No per diem or relocation General Job Description: Smoothes and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks or curbs to specified textures.
Functional Requirements: Dry packs, mixes and pours cement and epoxy grouts; spreads concrete to specified depth and workable consistency; levels, smoothes and shapes of freshly poured concrete; finishes concrete surfaces; removes rough or detective spots from concrete surfaces and patches holes; molds expansion joints and edges; may sprinkle colored stone chips, powdered steel or coloring powder on concrete to produce prescribed finish; may produce concrete surface; may mix cement; may direct sub grade work, mixing of concrete and setting of forms; may specialize in finishing steps and stairways; may build forms for concrete placement; may break up and repair old concrete surfaces; may mix and pour grout.
Qualification Standards: One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level) Written pre-employment qualification test Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation Hazard Communication orientation/test Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.) Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.) Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place.
