Responsibilities
• Supervise personnel for contract logging, road construction, silviculture, etc.• Ensure implementation and updates of LRM and/or inventory databases• Supervise timber marketing/log sales and provide budget information• Maintain good communications with outside agencies and companies• Mentor, train, and cross-train employees and identify future leaders• Provide feedback to employees and instill a good work ethic• Support and participate fully in the company's SFI program and ESG initiatives• Ensure timely and professional safety, environmental, or financial risk management reporting• Respond to internal and external information requests• Ensure timberland management investment services meet or exceed client commitments
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Forestry, Engineering, or closely related field• Ten years of work experience• Knowledge of state and federal forestry laws and Best Management Practices• Knowledge of forest harvest practices, log merchandizing, silviculture, etc.• Land records experience and knowledge of land sale transactions• Excellent supervisory skills• Good business skills• Valid Driver's License and good driving record• Ability to work alone in the outdoors in all weather conditions• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds daily
