Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Board-Certified Music Therapist to join our team.
Location : Kalamazoo/Portage, MI
Start Date : May/June 2024

Qualifications :
· Must be a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC). Applicants without the Music Therapy credentials will not be considered. Recent music therapy interns may be considered depending on the date they intend to sit for the board exam. Please include this info in your letter of interest.
· Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and auto insurance - must be able to drive to clients
Hours : Beginning part-time 8-12 hours per week with potential to grow hours
Compensation & Benefits : Compensation is hourly, commensurate with experience. All work performed for the business is compensated. This includes direct service (including client cancellations), case conferences, prep/planning, documentation, administrative tasks, travel time, team meetings, and other duties as assigned. Pay begins at a single hourly rate of $22 per hour.
Fiddlehead MT provides:

· supervision and mentorship with a seasoned clinician.
· CMTE reimbursement up to $250 per year
Schedule : Will design a schedule according to therapist availability and client needs with a maximum of 5 days/week during our business hours (M-F 9-5:30). Current need: Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Caseload will include both community-based and office-based work.
Population : We are seeking someone who is interested in and enthusiastic about working with a diverse caseload in both group and individual settings. Current caseload: elder care (facility-based), adult special needs (office-based), pediatric special needs (office-based). Expansion potential for this position may include other areas based on therapist interest and community need.
Professional Responsibilities: The therapist will carry a diverse caseload of direct music therapy work, completing administrative tasks such as maintaining client files (assessments, treatment plans, data reports, etc), learning online systems, participating in community music therapy outreach, and program development. Therapist should be comfortable maintaining their own schedule, while also being dependable and punctual.
Music Therapists are expected to maintain a strong line of communication with other members of the Fiddlehead Music Therapy team and effectively communicate with clients, parents, caregivers, and staff.
Music Therapists must adhere to the Code of Ethics and practice music therapy within the Scope of Practice as outlined by the American Music Therapy Association. Music Therapists will participate in continuing education and supervision as required by Fiddlehead Music Therapy and the Certification Board for Music Therapists.
