In this role you will work alongside midwives nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional support to expecting mothers and their families during the birthing process.
Key Responsibilities: Provide handson assistance and emotional support to mothers in labor ensuring their comfort and wellbeing throughout the birthing process. Educate and guide families on birthing techniques breastfeeding infant care and postpartum health. Collaborate with midwives nurses and physicians to facilitate smooth and safe deliveries anticipating and addressing patient needs promptly. Assist with initial assessments and care of newborns including vital sign checks and basic procedures under the direction of healthcare professionals. Advocate for the wishes and preferences of the birthing family ensuring they feel empowered and informed throughout their experience. Ensure birthing suites and common areas are clean organized and stocked with necessary supplies. Qualifications: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN): Preferred candidates will have practical experience and training in patient care particularly in obstetrics or pediatrics. Demonstrate exceptional empathy and emotional intelligence understanding the sensitivity and importance of the birthing experience for families. Effectively communicate with patients families and the healthcare team fostering trust and cooperation. Possess a warm and calming demeanor able to provide encouragement and reassurance during challenging moments.
