Position Title: Biology Technician

Expected Duration:6 months
Job Type: 40 hours work week & Contract for 6 months
Pay Rate: $17 /hr
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Description: Biology Technician Job Duties:
This position will be working in lab and greenhouse performing the following duties
Assisting in planting, inoculating, and evaluating plants to screen for disease resistances
Maintaining suitable conditions for proper plant growth; Preparing for culture media
Assisting in lab, headhouse and greenhouse sanitation practices including devitalization processing of all regulated breeding materials.
Candidates must pay attention to the details and be able to follow safety and stewardship rules, stand for long periods of time, and lift 50 lbs.
The environment can sometimes be hot in greenhouse. Candidates may get dirty due to working with plants and soil.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED - BS Degree
