Red Mountain Resort is seeking a Banquet Supervisor for our Food & Beverage Department. This position will be expected to supervise and execute the set up and servicing of group food and beverage experiences to the clients expectations based on Banquet Event Orders generated by the sales department. Candidates must possess a warm, friendly, "can do attitude" and have previous experience in a catering/banquets environment. Events at Red Mountain Resort are held both inside and outdoors.
Job details include: -Attending banquet event meetings for planning purposes.
-Reviewing that the set up is according to the Banquet Event order and that the event area is clean and ready for guests.
-Assisting with décor, linen set, china, silver, glassware and recording inventory as required.
-Recording the number of attendees or covers served.
-Ensuring that the banquet check correctly reflects the Banquet Event order pricing and is sent to sales after the event.
-Following guidelines established by our accounting, sales and food and beverage departments.
-Collaborating with Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager for execution of events.
-Is DABC Tips certified, and is knowledgeable of the Utah DABC rules for banquet events.
-Able to bartend or serve as needed.
-knowledge of point of sale systems, such as Micros, Simphony is important.
-May supplement hours as a restaurant supervisor when banquets are not in house.
-Supervising the service staff at the banquet.
-Cleaning up after banquet
Requirements -lifting 25 lbs or greater frequently to set up events
-standing and walking during service.
-basic math skills
