Manufacturing Technician II - Direct Hire Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Automation Technician at our Fenton Facility which manufactures vehicle stability control systems and related components.
This position will be on either the afternoon or midnight shift.
: Performs corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair for a variety of assembly/machining and test equipment consisting of electronics, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, software, hardware and robotics systems.
Performs preventive maintenance on production equipment i.e., cleaning, retooling, oil-changing, calibrating, aligning, etc. Assists in process design improvement engineering studies involving product throughput, first-run yields, ergonomics, tooling, equipment and manufacturing processes.
Education/experience: Required: High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent and Minimum 3 years related mechanical or electrical experience; or Associates Degree in related field Other skills/abilities Required: Manual dexterity Ability to use/operate hand tools and/or power tools, shop equipment lathe, mille, grinder, etc.
Interpersonal skills Read, understand and perceive relevant technical and non-technical material
Technical aptitude and strong trouble shooting ability Analytical ability
Computer and software literate Preferred: Knowledge of PLC/SRC/RS LOGIX, Ladder Logic Knowledge of robotic/vision systems
Knowledge of process improvement, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance
Prior experience in a team-based management culture
Average pay is $29/hr
