We're seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, Tax Management Representative to join our Retirement Tax Operations team. This role is located in Jersey City, NJ - Hybrid.In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Serve as a team member for the day-to-day operations for retirement tax team.Assist with review of various retirement tax forms (1099R/Q, 5498 and 990Ts).Assist with IRS filings (reviewing, reconciling, and filing).Lead the UBTI/990T reporting process.Assist with reviewing K1s for Unrelated Business Taxable Income.Lead the IRS notices process which includes streamlining process, responding to IRS inquires and updating EINs.Serve as a backup for other team members.To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferredProficient in excel and pivot tablesExcellent communication and organizational skills5+ years of experience preferred experience in a primary process/product in a brokerage environment, retirement tax reporting knowledge is a plus.At BNY Mellon, our inclusive culture speaks for itself. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $58,000 and $95,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
