Associate Scientist

Every day, Kelly Services connects professionals with opportunities to advance their careers. We currently have an exciting 7+ month, long term contract opportunity as an Associate Scientist for a top fortune 500 company based in East Hanover NJ.
Title: Associate Scientist
Duration: 7+ months
Location: East Hanover NJ
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The role is to provide technical lab support to project managers.
Familiarity with sample prep, bench-based chemistry and measurement techniques, data collection and data management.
Experience working in a lab environment is a must.
We are looking for a candidate with a technical background who is motivated to learn new instruments and methods.
Candidate will be working under the supervision of team leaders to analyze samples and collect data and help them manage the experimental work.
Anti-slip/steel toed shoes not required.
Qualifications: Desired Skills: Math, Science or technical training required.
Familiarity with basic scientific principles and methodology with some laboratory experience.
Experience with technical equipment-based measurements preferred.
Has good communication skills and is computer literate.
Familiarity with standard office software packages.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic and quick to learn and an ability to follow written instruction.
Evidence of flexible and adaptable working behaviors to meet customer/business requirements and good time management skills.
An ability to work effectively and cooperatively as part of a team.
Good attitude and willingness to participate.
