Associate Professor without tenure or Professor without tenure - Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research - Division of Hematology/ Oncology, Department of Pediatrics School / Campus / College: School of Medicine Organization: Pediatrics, Hematology/ Oncology Title: Associate Professor without tenure or Professor without tenure - Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research - Division of Hematology/ Oncology, Department of Pediatrics Position The Department of Pediatrics, at the University of Washington School of Medicine and the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research in the Seattle Children's Research Institute are recruiting a full time Associate Professor without tenure, for reasons of funding, or Full Professor, without tenure, for reasons of funding, commensurate with experience and qualifications and on the faculty-scientist track. This is a 12-month service period position with an anticipated start date of Fall 2023. The successful applicant will be a laboratory investigator based at Seattle Children's Research Institute within the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research. The candidate will lead an innovative research program investigating pediatric solid tumor initiation, biology, and/or treatment. The candidate will work collaboratively with other research center members and the Division of Hematology/ Oncology at Seattle Children's Hospital. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. The base salary range for this position will be: Associate Professors $12,500 - $16,667 per month ($150,000 - $200,004 annually), Professors $15,834 - $26,667 per month ($190,008 - $320,004 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Qualifications Position requires MD, PhD, or DO in a relevant field (or foreign equivalent). An MD/PhD (or foreign equivalent) is also acceptable. The successful candidate must have a record of research excellence and productivity and must demonstrate a strong track record of sustained external funding. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
