Associate Professor or Full Professor without Tenure, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Immunology, Center for Immunity and Immunotherapies (CIIT) School / Campus / College: School of Medicine Organization: Pediatrics Title: Associate Professor or Full Professor without Tenure, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Immunology, Center for Immunity and Immunotherapies (CIIT) Position The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Immunology, at the University of Washington School of Medicine is recruiting a full time Associate Professor without tenure due to funding, or Full Professor without tenure due to funding. Rank is commensurate with experience and qualifications. These titles are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Anticipated start date is Fall/Winter 2024. The successful candidate will join a diverse faculty of clinicians, physician-scientists and scientists to participate in the diagnosis, treatment and advancement of knowledge and novel therapeutics for people with primary immune deficiency diseases. The successful candidate will contribute to a robust inpatient and outpatient service; collaborate with the WA Department of Health in the screening of newborns identified as having Severe Combined Immune Deficiency; participate in the Non-Malignant Transplant Program in concert with our collaborators within Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center; Participate and/or lead national protocols in the study of primary immune deficiency diseases and participate in clinical trials operated by the Seattle Children's Program for Cell and Gene Therapy. The Division is committed to the training of Allergy and Immunology Fellows. The successful candidate will have the opportunity of teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents and junior faculty. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. The base salary range for this position will be: Associate Professors MD $14,164 - $21,246 per month ($169,972 - $254,958 annually), Professors MD $17,331 - $25,998 per month ($207,978 - $311,981 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. Qualifications Requires an MD or DO (or foreign equivalent). A combined MD/PhD (or foreign equivalent) is also acceptable. Requires completion of fellowship training and board certification in one of the following: Allergy and Immunology, Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases, or Hematology/ Oncology. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
