Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center in East Hartford, CT, a 345-bed, non-Union skilled nursing center, is seeking an Assistant Nursing Home Administrator. The successful candidate has a solid track record in operations management and finance in a healthcare setting e.g. nursing home, hospital, etc.
Riverside has a fun, family-oriented environment. The successful Assistant NHA will possess solid interpersonal skills and

be located within a 45-minute maximum commute time of the Center in East Hartford. They'll be expected to oversee and manage Non-Unionized departments e.g. Maintenance, Environmental Services, and Dietary. Day to day responsibilities include Budgeting, managing the PPD (cost per patient day).

Qualifications :
1. Must be able to read, write and comprehend English; completed four (4) years of post-high school education; and two (2) years of relevant management experience.
2. Track record of success in health care facility operations leadership strongly preferred (nursing home, home health, hospital, etc).
3. Knowledge of fiscal operations i.e. budgetary, labor costs, staffing, as well as Human Resources and general staff management.
4. Display flexibility, personal integrity, and effectiveness in dealing with residents, personnel, state, federal and support agencies. Ability to make decisions and function independently. Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the facility's goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
5. Demonstrate leadership ability and supervisory skills; willingness to work cooperatively and tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, state and federal agencies, vendors, and the general public.
6. Interest in the health care needs of the aged, chronically ill, disabled, and emotionally ill with the ability to work with these groups.
Primary Functions :
1. Assist the administrator in the performance of various administrative and managerial responsibilities to ensure optimum operation.
2. Assists in developing, implementing, and coordinating facility and departmental policies and procedures.
3. Assists in the overall management and administration of the facility including Human Resource functions; coordinates operation activities.
4. Interprets and communicates policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors, family members, etc. as necessary.
