St. Joseph's Academy seeks a dynamic, faith-filled Assistant Campus Minister/Service Coordinator. The Assistant Campus Minister/Service Coordinator will work closely with the Campus Minister in
evangelizing students, developing student leaders through student ministry and planning and leading retreats, Bible studies, mission trips and other faith development experiences. St. Joseph's Academy Campus Ministry is rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church, Gospel values and the charism of the Congregation of St. Joseph. Primary Responsibilities
The Assistant Campus Minister is responsible for the effective operation of the SJA Service Program, including software system management. The position manages day-to-day operations for students, parents, community partners and colleagues; plans and executes service days; and oversees the service budget.
The assistant campus minister will teach two sections of theology class in addition to campus minister and service coordinator duties.
The Assistant Campus Minister will collaborate with the Campus Minister to:
? Plan and lead both formational and logistical aspects of all retreats.
? Have active participation and assistance in the planning and execution of faith development opportunities, including Reconciliation, Adoration, Bible Study, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Stations of the Cross and others as liturgical seasons dictate; may also be tasked with leading these opportunities.
? Mentor student ministers and develop their spiritual leadership.
? Plan liturgies for retreats.
? Plan both logistical and formational aspects of local, out-of-state and international mission trips.
? Reach out personally to students and accompany them in their faith journey.
? Be visible and present on the school campus and at school activities.
? Seek resources that are supportive of student needs.
Minimum Qualifications
? Must be a practicing Catholic with knowledge of and adherence to the Church's teaching.
? Must have a Bachelor's degree.
? Must have experience in facilitating youth programs and relevant experience in formation and service.
? Has inspiring communication skills, written and spoken.
? Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to manage service software.
? Understanding of and willingness to learn more about the charism of the Congregation of St. Joseph.
? Must have a willingness to contribute to the overall mission of SJA.
