Title: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor without tenure (WOT) in Pediatric Radiology, Cardiac Imaging Position The Department of Radiology in the School of Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle is recruiting one full-time (100% FTE) faculty position at the levels, of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor without tenure (WOT) by reason of funding to join the Pediatric Radiology Division based at Seattle Children's Hospital in Seattle, Washington with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2024. Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Associate and full Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
Clinical responsibilities include participation in general pediatric radiology coverage in all modalities, including computed tomography (CT), diagnostic radiology, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and ultrasound. This includes mostly routine daytime hours, along with some off-hours weekday and weekend clinical coverage. This position is expected to perform pediatric cardiac imaging. Those with an interest in developing these skills are encouraged to apply.
Additional responsibilities include teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows, contribution to weekly interdepartmental clinical conferences, quality assurance and continuous process improvement, engagement in academic and research activities, and assigned administrative duties. All UW faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
Seattle Children's is a 407 bed medical regional center; over 136,000 pediatric imaging examinations per year are performed across all modalities within the Hospital and associated outpatient clinics. Successful applicants will join our 3 current full time pediatric interventional radiologists, 2 advanced practice providers and 22 pediatric diagnostic radiology faculty members, participating in the ongoing education of 4-5 fellows and 6-9 residents. The institution is committed to clinical and research excellence, and pediatric radiologists are encouraged and supported in clinical and basic research efforts. Compensation and fringe benefits are competitive.
The base salary range for this position will be: $33,906 - $41,106 per month ($406,872 - $493,272 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. This position is incentive eligible through the physicians practice plan.
