As an appointment setter at Ransom Digital, you play a crucial role in connecting our clients with their clients.
What does this look like? We provide social media advertising for upwards of 50 small business owners across the US, Canada, and Australia. Our marketing team generates warm leads for our clients through innovative social media campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. Wait, What's a Warm Lead? A warm lead is a potential client for one of our clients- someone who has expressed interest in the services and/or products that our client(s) offer.
Our appointment setters ( you!) reach out to these warm leads over the phone and via text message, following our processes and using our company platforms and systems. Once you get in touch, you ask a few questions and get the lead's information, and input this information into our system. You then set the lead up with a free consultation/estimate with the corresponding client according to their availability. You will also: Answer and direct incoming calls for our clients, transferring calls to business owners when needed. Manage missed calls, and leave voicemails when leads do not answer. Complete follow up work for each call you make; such as updating the call status, selecting the correct tag, and taking notes. Use customer service skills and think on your feet to fill gaps in conversation, build rapport, and ensure a positive experience for potential clients. Manage incoming and outgoing text messages using text templates. Manage and complete callbacks and reschedule requests. Perform quarterly database reactivations as directed. Ensure the accuracy of appointments being booked and data that you enter into company systems. Communicate daily with the team as needed through slack. NO cold calling required , ever!
HOW TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE… Make a MINIMUM of 15 calls per hour, or 150 calls per day. Maintain a monthly booking rate of 60-80%. Reach out to new leads and text messages within 15 minutes of them coming in. The goal is to be even faster! (But 15 minutes is in case you're on another call or managing another lead.) Answer incoming calls right away , or call them back within 15 minutes . Continue reaching out to a lead daily until you get in contact- we reach out 18 times (each time is a call and a text) before abandoning the lead! Become knowledgeable on common questions and objections, and how to answer these questions both generally and on a client specific level. Follow processes , steps , and script as provided without deviating (except for making small talk and other non-processed, scripted elements of the position). Multitask effectively and move quickly . Communicate at an expert level , both verbally and in writing. Get competitive and challenge yourself to beat your booking and call records daily. Hold yourself to a high standard , prioritize communication, and do your best. SCHEDULE AND HOURS This is a PART-TIME position Youwill be working20-30 hoursper week.
You will be scheduled for at least 20 hours weekly. There may be weeks where additional hours are offered/available. Shifts and Hours Shifts areas follows:
Day : 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM EST This shift is a single shift totaling 5 hours. There are no scheduled meal breaks worked into this shift. Evening: 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM EST This shift is a single shift totaling 5 hours. There are no scheduled meal breaks worked into this shift. Double : 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM EST This shift is a double shift totaling 10 hours. There is one unpaid 30 minute meal break permitted during this shift that the employee may take at any time. If they choose not to take this break, their shift ends at 8:00 PM. Although we will do our best to accommodate schedule preferences and availability, shifts outside of an employee's preference may be required due to scheduling needs.

Thursday: 3 PM - 8 PM Friday: 3 PM - 8 PM Sunday: 10 AM - 8 PM How the Schedule Works Our schedule for this position operates similar to your average serving, retail, or restaurant scheduling system.
The schedule for appointment setters is put out 2 weeks in advance , and is published in increments of 2 weeks . Employees must submit any days they cannot work 3 weeks in advance of the day they cannot work. There is no paid time off or paid sick leave in this position as it is a part time position. All time off is unpaid. Employees are allowed to swap shifts, but must keep leadership in the loop. Failure to show for a shift and arrange coverage will result in termination. THE LOCATION & WORKING FROM HOME The highly independent nature of this position allows for work from home flexibility. However, there still are some in-office/on-site requirements, and some conditions that need to be met for employees to be eligible to work from home. Note also that you are always welcome to work in-office, work from home is not required.
General In-Office/On-site Requirements Employees must live within driving distance of our office located in Johnson City, TN. Training is in person, fully onsite. How long is training? Well, as long as it needs to be. At least two weeks- but it could be longer. After training, you will be required to come in the office, on-site at least once a week, every week , for team meetings on Mondays at 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM. Can't I just come virtually?? Nope! What if I don't work that day? Still gotta come. You also have to come in person for team events . These are about once a month, fun group activities. What if I don't want to come? Well… this probably isn't the job, or company, for you. Work From Home Conditions Employees must meet the following conditions to be able to work from home:
Consistently meet their performance expectations and KPIS : This includes, but is not limited to, making the minimum amount of calls daily, meeting their minimum booking rate, maintaining accurate data entry, meeting their minimum response rate requirements, meeting their virtual and in person attendance requirements, etc. Maintain compliance with our WFH Policy : This includes following virtual communication guidelines, meeting performance expectations, maintaining complete focus on their singular job, ensuring a distraction free environment, etc. Have the environment and equipment that is conducive to WFH : This includes access to high speed internet, a quiet space to work free of distractions, and a computer that allows you to complete your duties successfully. DISQUALIFIERS Please DO NOT apply to this position if you:
Are looking for a position that does not require your full focus, that you can do from home while doing other tasks. This is NOT one of those jobs. Lack patience, customer service skills, or get worn out talking to people. Are not highly detail oriented and thrive for accuracy in everything you do. Like to skip steps or will struggle following instructions and following a script. Get discouraged easily- this is a sales position- you get told no more than you get told yes, and that is okay! Prefer a slower paced environment or position: if you can't meet performance and activity expectations, this isn't the job for you. Hate sitting at a desk/on the computer all day. This is a job that requires those things. PAY / SALARY The base pay for this position is $15 an hour. You earn an additional $5 for every appointment that you book. Commission is uncapped. The appointment setter with the highest booking rate at the end of each month gets an additional $300 bonus. The appointment setter with the highest number of calls made at the end of each month gets an additional $300 bonus. Required meetings and events are also paid at your regular hourly rate. So, how much does that come out to? Top Earners are currently making $23-$25 an hour when factoring in commission and bonuses.
