Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Addiction Counselor (CAC or LAC) to join our team in Sioux Falls, SD. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide substance abuse counseling and treatment services to participants and their families based on current ASAM criteria. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting bio-psycho-social assessments, providing individual and group counseling, and documenting progress in an electronic medical records (EMR) system.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct bio-psycho-social assessments and evaluations
* Provide individual and group counseling based on ASAM criteria
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans
* Document progress and services accurately in the EMR system
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities
Qualifications:
* Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a closely related field
* Two or more years of experience in addiction counseling
* Certification, or eligibility for certification, as a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in South Dakota
